The Rock x Under Armour
What we think.
We’ve always loved this. The authenticity of this collaboration is underpinned by the character of both Dwayne Johnson and the brand - work hard and don’t stop until everyone else has. Not only does DJ test and use all of the products he promotes for Under Armour, he helps develop them.
Now on its third collection, Project Rock is based on the premise that if you work hard enough in the gym, then you need a high quality training product that is resilient to its demands. Unlike many athletic brands in the market, UA Project Rock is designed to last, so that you only need to buy once without compromising the quality.
The collection includes shoes, shorts, tops, hoodies and jackets in a limited number of colourways and patterns that creates a sense of scarcity and uniqueness. Why produce tonnes of the stuff anyway, if they are designed to last 6-12 months.
We particularly like the simplicity of the design, and love the iconic bull’s skull logo - perhaps a reflection on DJ’s attitude towards training and life.
